At the core of the Mountain Community Network is the understanding that through community connection and inclusion, stronger, more resilient communities are formed and together can better prepare and respond to disasters.

Our Purpose
The purpose of the Mountain Community Network is to advocate for ethical social and economic resilience within the mountain community.
We will achieve this by strengthening our community voice and representing the interests of the community through:
- Facilitating the development of services and opportunities which meet the current and future needs of the mountain community;
- Sharing information;
- Facilitating connections, and
- Networking with stakeholders who have an interest and influence in:
- Planning and infrastructure;
- Education and training;
- Employment;
- Health and well-being;
- Recreation, and
- other industries or social areas
